Park(ing) Day
Objectives
Park(ing) Day (originated in San Francisco, a registered service mark of Rebar Group) is a global grassroots movement to reclaim private vehicular spaces as a productive space for and by people.
To advance people-centric urbanism for improving neighbourhood-level planning in NCR
To initiate community engagement exercises at public spaces through a series of one-day, temporary events called Park(ing) Day
To reimagine and reclaim places for people
To assess each public space by our internally developed place quality index (PQI) and stakeholder-centric feedback

Chapter 1 - CR Park

Intervention
We came, we busked, we conversed, we listened, we reclaimed.
You watched, you questioned, you participated, you reclaimed.
Planning with people can be made fun and interactive by sprinkling more vibrancy to our streets. Something small, yet something as effective, with Park(ing) Day at CR Park Market No.2, we aimed to do just that!

Temporarily reclaiming two parking spots at CR Park Market No.2 in collaboration with Nowhere Station

Street performance and public engagement as a spectacle at CR Park Market No.2

Participative re-imagination and feedback proves to be a great tool for grassroots planning
